2025 Federal Election - toy libraries' policy priorities

Writer's picture: Debbie WilliamsDebbie Williams

Updated: Jan 31

We urge all parties to include toy libraries in their federal election commitments.

Toy libraries reduce cost of living pressures for families, support parents as a child’s first educators, create community connection and support networks for parents with young children, provide volunteering pathways to employment, support inclusion of children with disability, and reduce waste by following circular economy principles.

Toy Libraries Australia and our members genuinely appreciate the commitments made to the sector over the last three years. We welcome all MPs and candidates to visit their local toy library to learn more about what we do.

Toy Libraries Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present, and to the children who are the leaders of tomorrow.
